Join us at our 5th Year Anniversary Gala

Reservations are now open for our 5th Year Anniversary Gala Celebration! We dedicate this event to our community of supporters whose votes of confidence in us have kept us working tirelessly, and to our community partners in the Philippines who inspire us to keep going... to lend a hand, one Filipino at a time, until our vision of a full life for every Filipino is fulfilled.

The Foundation for Philippine Progress, Inc. is excited to welcome our community to a special evening aimed at striking a sense of Filipino pride and love for the Philippines. An authentic kundiman guitar ensemble of renowned local guitarists will greet arriving guests with the familiar renditions of nostalgic kundiman songs. Guests will enjoy a sumptuous line of traditional and contemporary Filipino cuisine prepared by Portland’s coterie of culinary artists – from appetizers to the main dishes to desserts.

As the evening crowd enjoys their dinner, kundiman songs will be played to relive the days of the “harana” as the guest haranistas will serenade everyone with very familiar and not-so-familiar kundiman masterpieces. FPP’s Executive Director Rossella DeLeon will provide the guests with a five-year recap of our mission and impact, and what lies ahead in fulfilling our pillars in education, health, and human rights.

Fundraising auction and appreciation items feature artwork coming straight from the Philippines, highlighted by a father and son artistry: Renowned portrait artist, Edwin Sion, will render a special portrait for the highest donor. His son, upcoming artist stirring Manila afficionados, Isaac Sion, will donate one of his sought-after abstract works. Other items include Seattle-based pottery artist Anne de Guzman’s creations, signed records by renowned OPM artists, vacation packages, creative raffle baskets, and many more.

A Filipino dessert showcase, signature drinks, and more surprises await you. The finale of the evening is being planned to cap the night with a performance befitting of FPP’s past achievements and a future dedicated to bringing A Full Life for Every Filipino.
